How is your summer going? ☀️ On our end, we've been swimming, resting, and dusting off our grill master skills, but we mostly kept working on Axify!
So we have a lot of new things to share with you this month:
Webhooks expand our horizons!
DORA metrics (lead time for changes and deployment frequency) are standard for all our users. You can also specify the deployment environments Axify should consider!
Overall scores become variation indicators.
The Summary page and notifications give you a snapshot of key metrics at your convenience!
As always, we welcome your feedback and look forward to exploring how Axify can make your day-to-day work easier! Just reply to this email to start a conversation! 👋🏼
Webhooks
Webhooks are an addition to our existing integrations and allow you to synchronize your deployment data to feed DORA metrics while opening up the horizons of data import. Contact our team to learn more about available webhooks and discuss the possibilities!
Deployment environments
To obtain more precision regarding their deployment performance (lead time for changes and deployment frequency), our users can now determine the deployment environments to consider, both in production and staging.
Among the DORA metrics, deployment frequency and lead time for changes measure velocity. Combined, these two metrics constitute your time-to-market (T2M) and allow you to estimate your ability to deliver value to your users continuously and sustainably.
We measure how often an organization successfully deploys to production. This is one of the most important metrics, as daily (i.e., smaller, continuous) deliveries make it easier to test, deploy, provide feedback, and roll back problems, in addition to increasing perceived value.
This is the time it takes to go from the first commit to successfully executed code in production. This metric also allows for assessing the efficiency of software development cycles and initiatives. It tends to lead to organizational, human and technical changes! It also provides predictability by estimating how quickly a request can be fulfilled, predicting deliveries and team capacity, and eliminating wasted time and bottlenecks.
We refined our variation indicators to highlight important information to help you interpret the data.
Summary page and notifications
Get a better overview in two different ways!
The Summary page is Axify's newest access point that will allow you to see what's important before you go into in-depth analysis mode: team morale, DORA metrics and highlights.
Axify's notification system pushes a weekly summary of variations into Slack or Teams. This way, you'll be automatically notified of the latest variations in your projects and stay on top of things!
In the community
We really enjoyed these readings on the importance of TDD, moving from e2e testing to production with multi-tenant at Doordash and this illustration of the code review pyramid. Enjoy!
